Domestic Violence Help for LGBTQ Folks

"One of the biggest communities that is undeserved when it comes to domestic violence is the LGBTQ community. For those not in a hetero-normative relationship, it’s very difficult to find a safe place to escape to when fleeing from domestic abuse. Whereas homeless shelters are one option for people who find themselves in this terrible situation, this is often NOT a safe place for the queer population."
