Envision:You Featured in Comcast Newsmakers Documentary

On July 1st, 2021 Comcast Newsmakers released a documentary featuring Envision:You, Colorado’s only statewide nonprofit exclusively focused on improving behavioral health outcomes for the LGBTQ+ community. The documentary highlights the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity, mental health, and the disparities that exist for members of the community seeking access to affirming care. Told from the perspective of Envision:You team members with lived experience, the documentary touches on topics such as the high rate of suicidality among queer and questioning youth, lack of accessibility to quality and affirming care, and the importance of reducing stigma surrounding mental health, substance abuse disorders, and seeking treatment.
